Win Lots of Books!

YA_ScavengerHunt_WebBannerIt’s time for YASH, Fall 2015!

Gee, it seems like just yesterday that it was the Spring YASH. Time really does fly… (oh, the cliché!)

This time around, I’m TEAM GOLD and happy to be hosting author, BETH FANTASKEY!, (how great is that name!), who will be adding her book BUZZ KILL to the stash of signed books you can win from TEAM GOLD! If you’re the lucky winner for TEAM GOLD you’ll get a signed copy of ALL OF OUR BOOKS.

ed40192e-175a-4a37-82ed-22cfd77af225That’s TWENTY books! And it gets better, because there are actually eight teams of authors involved in the YASH, with a total of 160 signed books up for grabs.

Plus, to add to the fun and excitement, many authors (including me) are doing BONUS GIVEAWAYS! See mine below.

ABOUT YASH

This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive one signed book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

If this is your first stop, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are eight contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the GOLD TEAM–but there are seven other teams, with each team giving away a different set of signed books!

If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

And don’t forget to enter my BONUS GIVEAWAY! below.

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

Directions: Below, you’ll notice that I’ve listed my favorite number (in as close an approximation to gold as I can get with WordPress.) Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the gold team, and then add them up (don’t worry, you can use a calculator!).
Entry Form: Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by October 4th, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Is Chase Albright just a snob – or a cold-blooded killer?

I’d love to time travel but I don’t know if that would count.

I wouldn’t mind being able to read minds (yep, I’m fairly curious by nature)!

    • MaureenMcGowan
      October 1, 2015 at 1:45 pm

I’m curious, too! But thinking it might be a double edged sword to know what everyone else is thinking… Would take some getting used to. :)

Time-travel and with the extra power of having the ability of stop time. I just don’t do mornings. It would be awesome to have extra time to sleep and read books! And the time-traveling of course is also beyond awesome, but there’s no point in explaining why. It just rocks 😛

    • MaureenMcGowan
      October 1, 2015 at 8:06 pm

Oh, your idea of being able to stop time in the mornings is BRILLIANT!!! #wantthat

      October 1, 2015 at 8:08 pm

There are certainly times I’d like to be a fly on the wall and/or disappear into the background! Not to mention sneaking into things. The possibilities are endless!

I would want my superpower to be either shapeshifting, time travelling, or healing (preferably all three, hehe).

    • MaureenMcGowan

Any sort of elemental control would be amazing! Growing up i often watched “Avatar; The last airbender” and, easy to say, it left a mark! 😀

  18. Melissa
    October 2, 2015 at 11:53 am

  22. October 2, 2015 at 4:08 pm

To be able to speed read books.

  23. October 2, 2015 at 8:13 pm

I was actually thinking about this yesterday and I would want to manipulate time. I could change things in the past, see things in the future and pause time to enjoy those little moments in life.

  24. October 2, 2015 at 8:54 pm

I am pretty sure that I wish to be able to teleport at least once every day, so that would be the power I most wish I had. I feel like I waste so much time trying to get places instead of actually being there

  25. Sara
    October 2, 2015 at 10:46 pm

I think I’d like to be able to read minds, this way I could always know what people think of me, or if they’re really telling the whole truth.

  26. October 2, 2015 at 10:52 pm

    Shapeshifting

  27. October 2, 2015 at 11:15 pm

I’ve always wanted the special power to teleport. I hate waiting to get somewhere/

  30. October 3, 2015 at 1:34 am

Element bender! Water bender preferably if I had to pick only one element.

  31. October 3, 2015 at 1:54 am

Hard to say… Probably flying or the ability to understand other people(at least sometimes) Maybe that’s creepy though…

  32. Charlotte
    October 3, 2015 at 3:28 am

I’d love to mind-read at will! (and also stop mind-reading at will haha)

  33. Melissa
    October 3, 2015 at 3:49 am

I would like to teleport so I could see my family more often and so I could see the world. Also I could get to work without the hassle of traffic! :)

  34. Delia Chavez

    October 3, 2015 at 7:01 am

Healing! Thank you for the giveaway :)

  36. October 3, 2015 at 8:48 am

I would be able to read between the lines, on steroids. People rarely say what they mean, and while I can usually tell if something’s funky, I can’t tell what it is they’re hiding. I’d like to know that!

  37. Merisha Abbott
    October 3, 2015 at 11:15 am

I would want healing or to have control over an element

  38. Aracellis
    October 3, 2015 at 11:36 am

  39. Vicky

To read minds and be invisible – I’ll know everything that”s going to happen – maybe even before!

  40. October 3, 2015 at 4:22 pm

I would like to pause time. It would be great to get enough sleep and have more reading time.

  41. October 3, 2015 at 4:47 pm

    Time Traveller :)

  42. Ileana A.
    October 3, 2015 at 4:51 pm

    I’d like to be a healer :)

  43. Emily Ross
    October 3, 2015 at 5:43 pm

There’s this book out there called “Shamer” and it is amazing, and is about a girl who can see and show you what your are most ashamed of. I don’t know if I would want this ability, but maybe the ability to help others see that those who they might perceive to be cruel or mean might be suffering in their own way. The world is so negative, and if we can learn to understand others better, perhaps it will also be better.

  44. October 3, 2015 at 6:41 pm

I’d love to be able to manipulate items with my hands.

  45. rhianona
    October 3, 2015 at 6:51 pm

i would like to teleport, simply because I’d like to see my family when I want, rather than when I can afford it.

  46. October 3, 2015 at 7:38 pm

I would choose teleportation because I hate traffic

  47. Daniella M
    October 3, 2015 at 9:25 pm

Not really sure what power I’d want. Maybe flying or invisibility…

  48. P.V.
    October 3, 2015 at 10:13 pm

I think I’d like to be either a shapeshifter or time traveller (or maybe not, I already have books for that!) I also think having telekinetic and flying abilities would be cool!

  49. October 4, 2015 at 12:25 am

    teleporting

  50. October 4, 2015 at 12:37 am

If I’d be able to heal others of their sickness that would be really great and i’d heal my dad first.

  51. October 4, 2015 at 2:31 am

    Time travel. (Doo wee ooh~)
    Hello from the Philippines! :)

    October 4, 2015 at 8:46 am

I think having an elemental power, talking to animals would be cool and to know when someone is telling the truth, but it can be turned on or off.

  58. October 4, 2015 at 8:48 am

I would love to have the power of Invisibility. You can do whatever you want and no one would know!

  59. October 4, 2015 at 11:21 am

    October 4, 2015 at 3:26 pm

I would want the power to copy anyone’s power. That way, I can have any power I want! :)
